Power of Users ("POU") uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate powerofusers.com securely, keep users signed in and remember selected preferences. This policy explains the technologies we use and the choices available to you. POU is owned and operated by VenturePull, Inc.

General Information

Cookies are small text files stored by a web browser. Similar technologies, including browser local storage, can remember a setting without using a traditional cookie. POU uses these technologies to maintain secure authentication, remember language preferences, protect the platform and improve reliability.

POU does not use advertising cookies or cookies that track you across unrelated websites. With your consent, POU uses first-party browser storage to measure anonymous homepage visits and improve the experience. This optional analytics storage is not created when you choose "Necessary only."

In production, authentication cookie names may include the secure __Host- prefix. Authentication cookies are configured with security controls including Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite protections. Their contents are not available to ordinary browser scripts.

Strictly Necessary Technologies

Authentication and security cookies are strictly necessary for signed-in areas of POU. They are set only when needed to perform a service you request, such as signing in or protecting an authentication exchange. Because these technologies are required for core functionality and security, they cannot be disabled through a POU preference panel while using the relevant feature.

Analytics and Advertising

After you choose "Allow analytics," POU records anonymous homepage sessions, active time, page views, device category, browser and operating-system family, language, time zone, screen size, referring domain, campaign parameters and an IP-derived country code. We do not store the raw IP address in homepage analytics. Country lookup is performed server-side using Country.is, which states that it does not log lookup requests. POU does not set advertising or third-party behavioral analytics cookies. Basic server, performance and security logs are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Automated crawler detection operates at the server request layer and does not set a cookie. It is used to distinguish verified, known, suspected and impersonated bots from human analytics. Source IP addresses may be used transiently for country and crawler verification, but only a keyed hash—not the raw IP—is retained in the bot analytics record.

Managing Your Preferences

You can change analytics consent at any time using the "Cookie preferences" button on the homepage, or review, block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. You can also remove the saved POU language preference from your browser's site-data controls. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent sign-in or cause protected POU features to stop working. Deleting them may sign you out and require you to authenticate again.

Third-Party Services

POU relies on trusted service providers, including Amazon Web Services and Amazon Cognito, to deliver hosting, authentication, storage and security functions. If you choose a feature that continues through an external provider, such as Stripe account onboarding or an external project link, that provider may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy and cookie policies. POU does not control cookies set on third-party websites.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our services or applicable requirements change. The latest version and effective date will always be available at powerofusers.com/cookies.
